Joseph J. Staudt
He was the beloved husband of 36 years to Dolores J. Koons Staudt.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph J. and Anna Gallo Staudt and father of the late Lauren Staudt.
Mr. Staudt was a former resident of Richboro for 28 years before moving to Wrightstown in 2005. He attended LaSalle High School and was a 1971 graduate of Villanova University’s College of Engineering. He spent six years in the Army Reserves 330th Engineer Battalion. Joe worked at PMA Insurance Company, Heineman Electric, and Thomas and Betts before realizing his dream of starting his own business in 1980, Staudt Machine Co., where he was President until his death. Joe was an avid sports fan and followed all of the local Philadelphia teams. He was a passionate supporter of the Villanova Wildcats basketball team. He also enjoyed coaching his daughter’s sports teams- softball, basketball, and soccer. Joe enjoyed spending quality time with his family, especially vacationing in Avalon, NJ. He was an active member of the New Life Christian Church. Joe was a caring person who was always helping others. This was exemplified by his mission work in Honduras helping to build a health clinic and in Alabama helping to
rebuild homes that were damaged by Hurricane Katrina. His courage, determination, and faithfulness inspired all who knew him.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his three dearest daughters, Kristin Rubino and her husband Michael of Collegeville, PA, Nicole Whalen and her husband David of Newtown, PA and Jessica Staudt of Wrightstown, PA. Also survived by his sister Anne Marie Haubrich of Philadelphia and his brother James Staudt of Langhorne and his 2 cherished grandchildren Mary and Emma and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing, Monday, Dec.29, 2008 from 5:00PM until his Funeral Service, 7:00PM at the New Life Christian Church, 4 Freedom Drive, Newtown, PA 18940 where the Rev. Dr. Norman Leve will officiate. Prayers of Committal will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008 at the New Life Christian Church prior to his interment at Newtown Cemetery, Newtown.
