Barry A. Benek
Born in Philadelphia, PA, Mr. Benek was a resident of Warminster for 35 years. He graduated from Bensalem High School and received both his associateís and bachelorís degrees from Rider College in NJ. Mr. Benek served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Barry was the proprietor and president of Artcraft Machine Corp. located in Langhorne, PA. He was a member of the American Legion, Tiroler Ski Club, Trailblazers, the National Rifle Association, and Vereingung Erzgebirge. In his leisure time, Barry enjoyed skiing, fishing, golf, tennis and boating.
Son of the late Stanley and Doris Williams Benek, he is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Ruth A. McComb Benek, his three children, Michelle A. Leo of Warminster, PA, Barry F. Benek of Willow Grove, PA, and Christopher S. Benek and his wife, Sandra, of East Norriton, PA, his brother, Ronald Benek and his wife, Nancy, of Warrington, PA, and his sister, Sharyn Benek of New Port Richie, FL and two loving grandchildren, Jacob and Emilie Leo. He is also survived by his parents-in-law, Frank and Ruth McComb of Langhorne, PA, a sister-in-law, Kim Cullen of Holland, PA and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday, August 7, 2008, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Friday, August 8, 2008, from 9:00 AM until his Funeral Service 10:00 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road) Richboro, PA. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Prostate Cancer Foundation, 1250 Fourth Street, Santa Monica, CA 90401.
