Arthur J. Barrett
Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Barrett was a former resident of Philadelphia before moving to Feasterville in 1965. He was a graduate of St. Joseph University and was the Vice President of manufacturing at RCA Camden until his retirement in 1991. Arthur was a veteran of the US Navy serving during World War II and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an active communicant of the Assumption B.V.M. Church in Feasterville and also a member of their Finance Committee.
Son of the late John Francis and Mary Elizabeth Conlin Barrett, father of the late Dr. John Barrett, he is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years Marcella Hartley Barrett, his loving children and their spouses, Mary and Daniel Sargent, Arthur J., Jr. and Melody Barrett, Dee and Steve Grosso, Francis and Kathleen Barrett, Michele Barrett and his daughter-in-law Theresa Barrett. Also survived by his brother Rev. Msgr. Francis X. Barrett, 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass 10:00AM Monday, July 28, 2008 at the Church of St. Andrew, 81 Swamp Rd. Newtown. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to St. Mary Medical Center Foundation, One Summit Square, Suite 300, 1717 Langhorne-Newtown Rd., Langhorne, PA 19047, Attn: Cancer Center.
