She was the beloved wife of 37 years to Richard L. Weiler.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Veto Iavecchia of Philadelphia and the late Elsie Chemnitz Iavecchia.
Eileen grew up in Philadelphia and was a 1962 graduate of St. Hubert’s High School. She was active and involved with many groups and organizations. She was a long time Red Cross Volunteer coordinating blood drive pickups for the BuxMont area. She was a talented athlete and played a lot of tennis at Highpoint Racquet Club and for the past 10 years she was an avid golfer and member of the Neshaminy Valley Golf Course.
For over 29 she has been a resident of Furlong, where she raised her family and made many friends, especially those in the many bridge games she played in with her friends. She will be missed by those who knew her for her kindness and great friendship.
In addition to her husband, Eileen is survived by her two sons Douglas Weiler and his wife, Amy, of Ambler, PA, Brian Weiler and his fiancée, Angelina Simmons, of Rockville, MD, her 3 brothers Jeffrey Iavecchia of San Carlos, CA, Alan Iavecchia of Philadelphia, PA, Richard Iavecchia and his wife, Cynthia, of Horsham, PA, and her sister Denise Bush of Philadelphia, PA. She is also survived by her father and mother-in-law Bernie and Loretta Kest Weiler of Wyncote, PA and her two very special grandchildren, Evan and Lindsey Weiler.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Saturday, January 13, 2007 from 9:00 am until her Funeral Service 11:00 am at Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (Route 202 & Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain. Interment will be held privately.
