Joseph A. Paglia
Born in Philadelphia Mr. Paglia was a resident of Holland for the past 32 years. He was a graduate of North Catholic High School class of 1950 and Penn State University. Joe was an Industrial engineer for over 30 retiring in 1993 from RCA. A proud veteran of the United States Navy, he served during the Korean Conflict. Aside from his professional career, Joe was a true sports enthusiast. He loved the Phillies and Eagles and was an accomplished athlete. He played semi-pro baseball and during the 1960ís, umpired baseball and refereed football. Most importantly, Joe loved to laugh, was a friend to many and was loved by all.
Joe was a communicant and usher of St. Bede the Venerable Church, Holland as well as a member of the Raymond V. Hennessy Council # 6145 Knights of Columbus.
Son of the late Anthony and Filomena Melchiorre Paglia, he is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years Helen Ragan Paglia, his children and their spouses, Thomas J. (Regina) Paglia of Norwich, NY, Lauren M. (Patrick) Maddock of Lyons, NY, Dr. Janet E. (John) Distler of Hephzibah, GA, Joanne P. (Robert) Seader of Lowville, NY, He is also survived by his 11 dear grandchildren Gregory, Olivia, Laura, Victoria, Anna Marie, Erin, Eric, Vincent, Jillian, Grace, and Dominic.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Tuesday, July 5, 2005 from 8:30am-9:30am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd., (at Holland Road), Richboro. and to his Funeral Mass 10:00am St. Bede the Venerable Church Holland, Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham. Friends may call from 7:00-9:00pm Monday at the Funeral Home.
