Josephine S. Simpers Cade
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Mrs. Cade was a graduate of William Penn High School and Lankanau Nursing School. After receiving her Nursing degree, she worked at St. Luke’s Hospital, and taught courses for the American Red Cross. Then for the majority of her Nursing Career she worked for various Doctor’s offices in the Lehigh Valley. Josephine liked working in her gardens around her home. She enjoyed listening to baseball and other sports games on the radio and during the summers she liked to spend time on the beach in Stone Harbor, NJ.
Daughter of the late Jay S. and Augusta Nichter Simpers, beloved wife of the late Howard Cade, dearest Aunt of the late Ronald and Robert Hayes, she is survived by her son and his wife Jay S. and Patricia J. Krouse of Boothbay Harbor, ME and her sister Adelaide Hayes and her husband Robert of Holland, PA, and her brother-in-law Edward C. Krouse of Bethlehem, PA. She is also survived by her 2 grandchildren Scott and Tara, a great granddaughter Kyla and her two nephews Ricky and John Krouse.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service 11:00AM Friday, June 4, 2004 at the Holland Room at Twining Village, 280 Middle Holland Rd. Holland. Interment will be private. Contributions in her memory may be made to American Heart Association, 625 West Ridge Pike, Building A. Suite 100, Conshohocken, PA 19428-1190.
